Born and bred in Torquay, Gboards started making a five soft surfboard range for the learn-to-surf market. Today Gboards make over 17 different High Density Polyethylene models of surfboards, paddle boards, Tow/rescue sleds and SUP's. The aim of the company is to make High quality, safe boards that are easy to maintain and very durable. Gboards customer base is very diverse, catering for beginners, intermediate, extreme surfers and Surf life Saving.
The Gboards Original is our first range of surfboards, designed primarily for surfschools.
These Gboards use the world's highest quality materials and are the most durable product on the market, withstanding intense use and abuse.
The Original range consists of eight models ranging from 6'0" through to 9'6". We have recently added nose and tail guards to this range as a standard component, which further increases our renowned durability.The Gboards Original are still available for retail, but are predominantly used for surf schools and hire.

The Gboards Classic is the latest addition to the Gboards line up.
We have added this new product line specifi cally for the retail market and have renamed our surf school quality boards Gboards Original.
The Classic range will have a black stringer line on the decking as the defi ning feature, other than this it will look the same. We have adjusted the materials used to suit the retail markets, which allows us to get greater retail exposure.
The GBOARDS CLASSIC will be backed by a limited GBOARDS warranty, which will not include hire use or Surfschool use.
GBOARDS are again leading the way being the first to develop another new product, a completely SOFT Stand Up Paddle board.
Using all the aspects of the gboards original range; high quality materials, buoyant, stable and user friendly, we have designed a fantastic board range which paddle as good in the surf as it does on flat water.
The Gboards SUP development comprised researching all products available, testing the limitations of the boards and materials used, in both surf and flat water.
We designed a planshape and rocker which would allow us to produce a Gboard SUP to complete both disciplines with ease. We have been testing the 10’6” x 30” since jan 2008 and they have exceeded our expectations, as they will yours.
With the initial feedback from surf schools and the general public of our 10’6 being so positive, we are now developing a 9’0” for this summer to add to our SUP range.

GBOARDS were also the first to develop a High quality, extreme durability, Australian made Personal Water Craft(PWC) Rescue Sled. The GSLED attaches to the back of any PWC and are designed for quick rescues of either an injured person(s) or a person in danger.
The GSLEDS development comprised over six years of research and development with the help of many people from Lifesaving Australia and the Tow surfing community. With some of the most extreme by the likes of Ross Clarke-Jones, Tony Ray, Vetea David (POTO), Maurice Cole and countless others in our pursuit to design a device which does not to hinder the performance of the PWC on the water.

GBOARDS have also been pioneering the Surf Life Saving Industry by the development of the safest rescue products in the world.
The Gboards soft Rescue Board is the first of its kind in Australia and we believe to be in the world. This product has taken fi ve years to develop and many prototypes have been made and sent around to all states for testing, before the fi nal approval came from Surf life Saving Australia.
